Dave Mann is a musician/producer/sound engineer from Margaret River, WA. He has worked as a professional musician since the age of 16 (now 42) and played in many bands and musical groups in those years – spanning a variety of musical styles, genres and instruments. Since 2001 Dave has also worked as a sound engineer in a studio environment – specialising in pre production, songwriting coaching, music production and recording.
Dave has written, recorded and performed 3 full albums, 5 EP’s and toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally with his band Dave Mann Collective. He has worked with artists such as Mama Kin, Harry Angus (The Cat Empire), Ben Franz and Vicki Thorn (the Waifs) and a long list of professional, though lesser known artists. Dave and his wife Bec have a musical group called “the Nomadics” who perform nationally at folk festivals, house concerts and theatres and have developed a loyal following Australia wide.
Dave has also written and recorded music for a number of theatre productions namely The Gascoyne in May Inc, “How High The River” – Black Swan Theatre Co, and smaller productions -“Willy Willy” and “Houtman Celebrations” in Carnarvon and Geraldton respectively.
